Farrell Leeward Journal

Hey Everyone, so it's January and the winter is in full swing. It was going pretty well out here, and then Mother Natch decided to give us in the Tahoe region a smooth eight feet of fresh. Not too bad old girl, not too bad. The storms end meant the beggining for the Leeward crew. Day one we went out and hit a sick hip into a lovely chest deep landing. Fellow Gnu shred Danny Garrity threw down and stomped the piss out of an alley oop frontside five, while yours truly tried in vain to put down an alley oop double cork frontside seven. Ah well, maybe next storm.

The next day brought more snow. With an early morning snowy road gap sesh out of the way, it was time to head into town for some mexi food. After a huge burrito and about 6 hours of marination, we got our stuff back on and headed back into the snowy abyss for a nighttime pow line shoot. I'd love to tell you all about that, but you might just have to buy the movie. Leeward Cinema is a greesierra_backcountry.JPGn production company, meaning we don't use any snowmobiles to access backcountry terrain. Our feet be our only carriage, and we are not afraid to go the distance. Spearheaded by veteran cinematographer Chris Edmands, Leeward has an impressive rider roster and enough secret backcountry zones to fill ten movies. So check out "My own two feet" when it comes out this fall.
