Rider Updates I

Farrell lifestyle._big_bear.JPG

High octane Gnu shredder Nate Farrell currently resides in Reno, NV where he attends school full-time in the fall while retaining a part-time job. This upcoming winter you can find Nate's twisted comical relief coupled with unbelievable snowboarding at such mountains as Northstar, Alpine, and Squaw. Nate also plans to venture into the backcountry quite often for some soft pillow lines and pow turns. He will be competing on the contest circuit as well, so if you happen to see some XL switch mickey’s- it’s probably Etan.

Greg Bokenkamp has lived in Mammoth for four years now. Working by night and shredding by day is the life he lives. Fresh off from filming for Rome’s Any Means flic, Greg plans to continue to film for Kid’s on Shred while heading into the Sierra backcountry by sled as much as possible. If anyone is in Mammoth and happens to see some really contorted, almost unimaginable maneuvers- it’s more than likely Greg B.

With a high school diploma under his belt, Niko Cioffi is now free to do as he pleases and will head out west again for 07/08’. Currently on the Forum RV Tour, Niko plans on making the move at the end of the month and will reside in North Lake where he shreds with homies Mary Sallah, Kade Madsen, Matt Bothfeld and crew. Niko has some great things in store for the upcoming season including hitting up several contests including Jibassic, Rails to Riches, Honda Sessions, and WCI. He will also be filming with a couple different crews this winter including Forum and 120 out of Tahoe. Niko’s got some serious skills and looks to break into the backcountry scene this year.Portland, OR
Kade Madsen ives in Dirty Jers in the summers and Tahoe by winter. Kade is hanging around the east coast to compete in the Queen City and Rails to Riches comps, look out! Kade’s western-bound after Christmas and will be filming with 120 and competing in the contest scene. Kade will also be shredding with buddies Matty B., Shane Fortier, Niko Cioffi, matt lifestyle 1.JPGand Mary Sallah.

Matt Bothfeld is going to school during the fall at Sierra Nevada with plans on majoring in business. Matt will be filming with 120 as well, and plans on stomping the piss out of Tahoe jumps and backcountry throughout the season. Look for the big thug with the cool & composed sleepy style!

For those of you who don’t know Mary Sallah, she rips! This former SMS grad will be competing on the high level contest circuit in both slope and pipe. Mary’s winter was cut short this past winter with a knee injury at Winter X-Games and her redemption is just around the corner. She has trained vigorously in the gym and has been skating hard over the past couple of months and plans her winter assault to kickoff in December. Mary will be balancing the contest scene with filming and shooting in the backcountry of Tahoe where she currently resides. She’ll also be frequenting her local mountains of Northstar and Sugar Bowl on a regular basis.

tucker_pipe_walk.jpgStowe’s own Tucker Speer heading out to Mammoth Lakes for his virgin season in the Sierras come January. In the meantime Tucker already has some early season shred time under his belt at the local Darkside snowboard shop's weekly jib session. Tucker plans on competing at both Queen City Rail Jam and Killington's Rails to Riches before he heads out west. After Christmas, look for Tucker to be lapping Unbound park day in and day out with his homies Keith Bennett and Tommy Emanuelson. Keith Bennett

Last year's Queen City Rail Jam’s second place finisher Keith Bennett will be shredding alongside Tucker Spear, Tyler Flanagan, and Tommy Emanuelson come January. Until then, Keith looks for some redemption in November’s Queen City Rail Jam and will hit up Killington’s Rails to Riches as well. This Program rider has super smooth style on both jumps and jibs and is also heading out to the lovely Sierras for the second year in a row. Keith B. will be residing in CA and plans on honing in on his backcountry skills at Mammoth. If Mammoth sees another 600" snowfall season, you can bet Keith will get his powder legs under him!

After a stellar season last winter on the contest circuit, 18 yr old Vt shred Chris Waker has some serious plans for 07/08 season. He is headed out west for November and December followed by a jam-packed winter of shooting, filming, and comps. Chris will be competing in all Grand Prix's, several Open series events, and other contests TBD. While out west, Chris will be spending most of his time between contests in CO and Tahoe where he will training, filming, and honing in on his backcountry and freestyle skills. Look for great things out of Waker this year!
